Dr Orit Oettinger-Barak, winner of the Colgate senior competition
Congratulations to Oral Health CRC PhD student, Kheng Tan, second place winner in the senior basic science section of the IADR, Unilever Hatton Award in Barcelona, Spain for his poster titled "The response of Treponema denticola to Porphyromonas gingivalis".
"Attending IADR allowed to understand how research is carried out in other laboratories and gave me a chance to interact with other investigators in my field," said Kheng. "Competing in the Hatton award was a wonderful experience that has helped me improve my presentation skills and explain my project to others".
Congratulations to Professor Rodrigo Marino on being awarded the 2010 BUPA Health Foundation award for his initiative to develop resources for an interactive oral health intervention program harnessing new user-friendly social multimedia web technologies.
